spread: Update to 4.4.1

(Ride the update to 4.4.0, as surely COMMIT_MSG from 3.x will be very
similar for 4.4.0 and 4.4.1.)

Use MASTER_SITES_BACKUP.

Note that -ldl bug was sent to upstream email address.
